Compact DC Blower Fan for Electronics Heat Sink Cooling
Consumer electronics thermal module — Europe
The Challenge
A consumer electronics customer needed to cool a small heat sink inside a thin enclosure. The airflow path was narrow, and there was not enough space for a conventional axial fan to perform effectively.
The design required concentrated airflow, stable speed, and low profile installation.
The Solution
Herays recommended a compact DC blower fan with a focused outlet and higher pressure capability than a similarly sized axial fan. The fan was selected for the available space, voltage requirement, and expected thermal load.
The customer tested the blower with the real heat sink and enclosure to confirm airflow direction, sound level, and thermal improvement.
Products Used
Results
The blower fan provided more useful airflow through the heat sink channel and helped the product maintain a safer operating temperature during extended use. The customer used the sample data to finalize the thermal module layout.
